Universal Urethane offers composite urethane payoff and tension reel sleeves. The external wall is made of Sure-grip high strength soft urethane that allows the tail of the sheet to reach a uniform depth equal to the sheet thickness for each corresponding wrap. This eliminates excessive scrap of inner windings of your coil.

The sleeve is designed to fit your mandrel requirements and to increase the coefficient of friction to improve the primary grip of the first wrap. This is especially important for oiled and highly surface critical sheets.

Our urethane sleeves can be made with bevels on the inside and outside diameters to help with sleeve and coil loading. In addition, holes can be added for mounting sleeves to mandrel to help prevent slippage and sleeve removal.

Made from specifically compounded wear and cut-resistant single or dual durometer, these unique sleeves are designed to fit your exact mandrel requirements. Universal Urethanes sleeves increase the diameter of your mandrel for larger coils and increase the coefficient of friction.
